Culinary concept Palmaïa – The House of AïA

At Palmaïa – The House of AïA in Mexico, dining is real experience and a culinary journey that goes far beyond what you’d expect from an all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, or anywhere else in Mexico. With four à la carte restaurants, an award-winning taco food truck, and a boho-chic café, everything is about conscious living and optimal health.

Not only high-quality ingredients are used, all harmful elements commonly found in modern food systems are left out entirely, so every meal during your stay is fresh and nourishing. While the focus is plant-based, there are also premium meat and seafood options. But with such creative flavors, I really recommend trying the vegan options.

Palmaïa - The House of AïA in Mexico has four à la carte restaurants.

The restaurants

Whether you’re enjoying LEK for modern Mexican cuisine, Asian fusion at UME, Mediterranean classics at Mar de Olivo, or a beachside meal at Su Casa, each restaurant has its own unique atmosphere, menu, and characteristics.

One spot you absolutely shouldn’t miss for a Mexican snack is Charly’s Vegan Tacos, known for its colorful creations like jackfruit and mushroom tacos. At Plantissa Café, you’ll enjoy light breakfast and lunch options in a bohemian setting, including green smoothie bowls and vegan croissants. And don’t forget to sip a cocktail, with your feet in the sand at the Eolo Beach Club.

The vibe is casual but swimwear and flip-flops are not allowed during dinner. Also reservations are recommended, and this is where your personal Nomadic Guide comes in. Room service is available 24/7, and everything is included with your stay.

This unique program features over 30 activities such as yoga, meditation, breathwork sessions, art classes, sound healing, and cacao ceremonies, all inspired by ancient Mayan traditions. In the early evening, you can often enjoy live music or dance barefoot on the beach during a silent disco around the mushroom. The schedule changes weekly, and your Nomadic Guide is available for more information and planning.

During my stay, I joined a gong bath, a Tibetan sound healing session that turned into a magical experience thanks to the serene jungle setting. I also couldn’t resist trying a yoga class and dancing under the stars at the silent disco.
