Rooms and suites in Hotel Rangá Iceland

Hotel Rangá offers 52 rooms, ranging from standard rooms with hand-painted details to themed suites inspired by the seven continents. And trust me, you’ll want to book one of those suites. I stayed in the South America Suite, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. The interior was filled with handcrafted details and design elements from the continent. Think about Peruvian wall hangings, soft alpaca wool throws, wooden lamps from Uruguay, and symbols related to Inca architecture, like the Chacana (Andean Cross). In the bathroom, there is a luxurious jacuzzi and amenities by the Icelandic brand Angan. And from the private balcony, you look out over the Rangá River or Hekla volcano.

Hotel Rangá owns seven suites inspired by the seven continents, including the South America suite.

Nice and unique services

  • Upon arrival, a bottle of wine and a selection of chocolates await you in your room.
  • Each evening, you’ll find a note on your bed, providing you with the next day’s weather forecast.
  • Interested in Icelandic poetry? Simply dial the special poetry number to listen to English translations of works by the Icelandic poet Þórarinn Eldjárn.
  • Additionally, signed books by Icelandic authors are available for purchase at the reception. I still regret for not doing this, it is a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the country’s literary heritage.
  • Situated in the heart of Iceland’s nature, far from light pollution, Hotel Rangá offers a great chance of seeing the Northern Lights during the winter months. With the hotel’s Aurora Wake-Up Service, you’ll be alerted whenever the lights make their appearance, ensuring you never miss this spectacle.
